Life & Legacy Planning Session

Ready to get your Will or Trust in place (or updated) and want to ensure you have the right plan, not just a set of documents that might fail your family when they need them? Our Life & Legacy Planning Session is for you! This is a legal planning session with one of our attorneys so you can learn exactly how to plan for and protect your family and assets with an estate plan that works when your family needs it – to keep them out of court and out of conflict. Here’s what will happen:

You’ll share your family dynamics and assets and we’ll explain the law and how it will apply from a legal perspective;
You’ll share with us whether you want anything to be different for yourself and the people you love, and if so, we help you choose among our planning package options so you get the most efficient, effective plan at your budget … and you choose your own fee
If we decide we are a good fit to work together, we’ll review our planning process and how we’ll keep you moving forward over the next 4-8 weeks (and if we aren’t a good fit, we’ll make recommendations for you to find the right fit for you)
Planning Session is available only to residents of the state of Alabama.

You commit to completing the online questionnaire (homework) before our planning session so we can advise you based on your unique family values, dynamics + assets. (Homework link provided in appointment confirmation email after scheduling.)
If you and a spouse are planning together, both spouses must be in attendance.

If any of the above conditions are not met, your planning session fee may not be waived, though we will apply your session fee to the planning you need, once we are clear on what that is. We so look forward to serving you.

Legal Journeys determined my wishes for the disposition of my money & property upon my death, & proposed strategies that could accomplish this. We had several in-person meetings, & they encouraged us to call the office anytime, for help with any questions or concerns.  Levi & Elaine even served as conflict resolution "therapists" when family members had different opinions about how to handle the wording  in certain documents. So overall, I rate them 5 stars for helping me & my family resolve the difficult legal processes that are necessary after my death. At that time, my family may be especially emotional,   I'm glad I chose Legal Journeys, because they helped ensure  that my final wishes will be in place after my death.; probate will be avoided; &  some of the  normal emotional stress that comes with the death of a family member will be lessoned.
