Meet the Team

Emily grew up in Nebraska and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska before attending the University of Tennessee College of Law. Before joining Legal Journeys, she worked as a criminal defense attorney in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Emily comes from a large, close-knit family that includes five siblings, two nieces, a nephew, and another little one on the way. 

She is engaged to her best friend, and they are excited to celebrate their wedding in May. Emily looks forward to building a family of her own and dreams of becoming a mom one day.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and doing arts and crafts. These days, you’ll most likely find her planning her wedding or tackling a home project.

A couple of fun facts about Emily: she can sing the alphabet backward—and she still has two baby teeth!
